Ashty and Jian are married and have four sons. They have been in Denver for almost three years after moving here from Iraq. This was a BIG change for the family and they have been working hard learning a new language, new culture, and new society. Ashty works at Vedia, a transportation subcontractor for RTD, and Jian works part time at FedEx Smartpost.
Saba and Dadafu and their two children will be moving into a 3 bedroom home in Denver. They have lived in Denver since 2006, when they immigrated here from Ethiopia. They started their family here and now are so happy to have the chance to give their family a permanent place to live in their new Habitat home.
Gebi has been trying to find more space for his wife, Jaware and their three children for quite some time. The family of five lives in a two-bedroom apartment adjacent to the Lowry neighborhood in Denver. Although you can look across the street at large, newer homes where the old Lowry Air Force Base has been re-developed, the apartment complex the family lives in is unsafe.
