VolunteerThere are many ways to help with your time, but as we enter build season the best way to help is to sign up to build with us. Check our site for sign up opportunities as different fundraisers approach on the calendar. Youth are always welcome to gain community service hours at our fundraising events, even if they are not yet old enough to build.
We need to raise $85,000 to build the home this year, and every little bit helps. If you can make a donation to help us build the house, it would be greatly appreciated. For information on how to make a donation click here.
How Can Kids Help?
Normally, volunteers at the build sites need to be 16 years of age (there are limtations for youth, including a parental waiver). However, there are other opportunites for younger volunteers at the various fundraisers.
Denver's five Habitat for Humanity
ReStores were named by Westword as "Best Low-Cost Home
Improvement Store". If you are doing a remodel, planning an
addition, or even redecorating your house, you will find a
variety of items to meet your needs.
The ReStores are great opportunities for small groups and individuals who are only available to work half days. There is a morning shift from 9-2 p.m. and an afternoon shift from 2-6 p.m. Volunteers who work at the ReStores help to unload donations, stock shelves and assist customers. If you would like to schedule as an individual or as a group to work at one of the ReStores please contact Habitat for Humanity Metro Denver directly.
Sponsor a Build Day
This program is designed especially for local businesses (of all sizes) who want to send 6-10 builders to the home site to work on teambuilding. Everything is provided, and is also a great way to recognize your organization. If you would like to sponsor a build day please contact Habitat for Humanity Metro Denver directly.
